ROAD TRIP:
My mom and I headed out of town closer to 6pm than what we wanted. On the drive up to Minneapolis we stopped along the way to get something to eat (I was starving! hehe). After our quick trip to McDonald's, we were on our way again. On the drive up I decided to call Tess and let her know where we were. She was already looking for parking when I called her so we planned that once I got to the Target Center that I'd give her a call again.

BEFORE THE SHOW:
Once at the show I was going to look for Junichi but it was so close to showtime and the crowds were impossible that I just decided against it. Only one couple came up to me and asked about my shirt. I didn't watch all of Bob Schneider's set because I was calling Tess trying to figure out where we should meet up. In the end we just planned on meeting up after the show somewhere. Later on though my mom and I were walking the floor our seats are on and Tess walked right by so we recognized each other and then stopped and chatted for a bit. My mom took our pictures and we were happy that they were allowing us to use our cameras. I chatted with Tess for a few more minutes then we decided we better get to our seats. The last couple songs we heard Bob sing were okay. I knew I'd like him later since I knew he was coming out with the Chicks for Thin Line. Then his set was done and we had to wait .... and wait .... and wait for the Chicks to come out. The area I was sitting it had mostly old people. I kept telling everyone that the Chicks were gonna start at 8:45 but then that time passed.

THE SHOW:
They finally came out around 9pm and Natalie apologized for being late. She then did that Bush joke which got a roar of laughter and applause. They all had on white and black. Of course Natalie did most of the talking. Emily and Martie were all smiles. I was sitting on Emily's side which I didn't mind because it was also David's side, and everyone who was sitting by me now knows how much I love that guy. LOL! I managed to get okay photos but we were high up so I didn't get the best but that's okay I guess. I stood up for most of the show because being in row Z, well, was great because no one was sitting behind me. hehe! When Natalie talked about the songwriters I knew it was about the time Bob was coming out for Thin Line. Natalie talked about how Dan and Gary were there and that she hoped they were enjoying the show. I shouted out Bob because I really wanted to hear my favorite song and he came out to sing Thin Line because he helped write it. It was cool because then during the song, I was the only one standing and singing every word (in my area at least). I really like "Thin Line" so if y'all have shows with Bob coming up, you won't be disappointed when you hear that song! Natalie did her usual talk about the omnichord and then before "So Hard" she talked about Martie and Emily and all the infertility stuff. When it was closer to the end of the set, I went down a few rows to where the railing was and I watched the rest of the show from there. It was nicer because I didn't have any heads in my way then I could see the stage just fine. David ruled at his guitar playing! He looked out onto my side of the stage alot (this is lame but I always thought he could see me cause the lights were always shining on me hehe :P). They ended the show with "Ready To Run" and they did their final bow. I decided after the show that I didn't want to wait around and try to find the buses cause I was dead tired and I wanted to go home. I thought the concert was great. The girls voices sounded amazing. We packed the Target Center pretty good if I do say so myself. :) Rock on Chicks!

THANK YOU'S:
My mom for coming to the show with me and for Tess for playing phone tag with me and then finally meeting after all these years! :)
